UNDERFLOOR INSULATION
BETTER COMFORT
A WARMER, DRIER HOME
Underfloor insulation helps keep your home warmer in winter, cooler in summer and reduces energy bills.
WHY INSULATE YOUR UNDERFLOOR?
Up to 20% of a homes heat can be lost through the floor. Tongue and groove floorboards are particularly weaker for retaining indoor temperatures due to draughts through the joins. Underfloor insulation reduces heat loss and draughts creating a more comfortable, energy efficient and healthier living environment for you and your family.
The importance of underfloor insulation is often underestimated and only seen as important during the colder months of the year. However, during the summer period in particular when you are using your air conditioner to cool your home, your underfloor insulation is doing the bulk of the work to stop the cool air from escaping through your floorboards while your ceiling insulation prevents heat coming through your ceiling.

When underfloor insulation is missing or not up to standard, rooms can feel cold and hard to heat, even with good ceiling insulation. Investing in proper underfloor insulation is a worthwhile upgrade that can improve comfort, lower heating costs and support a healthier home for your family.
